Student Of Harvard University Wrote A Hard Hitting Letter To PM Modi & It’s Going Viral!

PM Modi has received a letter from a student of Harvard University; recently, in his rally in UP, Modi took a jibe at credible universities and economists.

This student named Prateek Kanwal (Resident of Chandigarh) is pursuing his Master’s course from Harvard University and his open letter to the Prime Minister is going viral.
In the rally, Modi said “Hard work is more powerful than Harvard”. Talking about this comment, Prateek wrote to him that by saying such things, Indians, who wish to return to the country after studying abroad, will be pushed away.
Want to read his letter? Here you go….
I am currently pursuing my master in public policy from Harvard University. I am from a middle-class family and my father is a public servant just like you. Before this, I have worked for over six years towards reforming the education system in India both as a teacher in a municipal school and as a policy implementer for various non-profits. I hope this proves my credentials as a hardworking nationalist.

Your remarks at an election rally at Maharajganj last week that “hard work is more powerful than Harvard” are startling. The very fact that you mentioned Harvard while campaigning in front of people who are mostly uneducated shows that you have been rattled by the observations made by some of the most influential economists in the world.

Let me tell you a few things we learn here at the university. We are trained in the “evidence based learning” approach, which helps in designing and implementing policies effectively so that disasters such as demonetisation can be avoided. We assess the pros and cons of a policy in advance and prepare an operational plan that causes minimum disruption while maximising the outcome. Your demonetisation plan could have benefitted from this approach.

We are also taught statesmanship here at Harvard, which not only builds character but also leads to bi-partisanship. A true statesman knows how to respectfully disagree and engage with an opposing ideology. Our professors always tell us that while it may be acceptable to campaign in poetry but it is always prudent to govern in prose. The vitriolic political discourse in India would do well to remember this.

While you were making these remarks in Uttar Pradesh, Minister of State for Petroleum and Natural Gas Dharmendra Pradhan was addressing us at Harvard and he specifically asked the university and the students to collaborate with your government. Another senior member of your party and MoS for Civil Aviation, Jayant Sinha, is a graduate from Harvard business school. The Prime Minister’s Office has officers on special duty who are alumni of Harvard university. I am sure your comments must have come across as a surprise to all these hardworking people as well.

To develop a country as diverse as India you will need the help of people who bring a different perspective to the table. Mocking economists and credible academic institutions will only isolate us from the world. People like me hope to return to India after graduation and want to join you in your quest to develop the country but such remarks will only push us away. History will be kinder to you if only you are kinder in the present.

Jai Hind!

Prateek Kanwal
Prateek said that for developing India, mocking economists and reputed universities won’t help and this would only lead to isolation. Do you agree with him?

Diljit Dosanjh Wasn’t Allowed On Kapil’s Show With Anushka Sharma Due To This Reason?

When it comes to promotions of films, Kapil Sharma’s show is undoubtedly the best platform, agree?

Recently, it was was Anushka Sharma who came on the sets of The Kapil Sharma Show, for promoting her upcoming movie “Phillauri”. She had come alone and had a great time interacting with her fans; she danced her heart out and entertained everyone with her funny acts.

No doubt, people were very excited on seeing Anushka, but they were quite confused about Diljit’s absence. Yes, the film also stars Diljit Dosanjh and Suraj Sharma in pivotal roles and since he didn’t come for the promotion along with Anushka, everyone was upset.

Basically, Diljit is a judge on Colors’ show “Rising Star” and this might be the reason he was absent. Well, he has an exclusive contract with Colors and that is what restricted him to appear on Kapil Sharma’s show because it is being aired on rival channel i.e. Sony TV, thanks to the tiff between Kapil and CEO of Colors, Raj Nayak.
So, it was this rigid contract which restricted Diljit from appearing on the show.
This is not the first time that a star is facing this problem; earlier too, there were many who were trapped in this rivalry and were stopped from going on other shows on rival channels.
Forget everything; this episode of Kapil Sharma, with Anushka Sharma as the guest is going to be hilarious & you’ll love it. We just can’t wait for her movie, which will hit the screens on 24th of March.

Girl Was Blamed For Hitting Boy Who Snapped Her Bra. This Is How Her Mom Taught School A Lesson

We all are worried about the fact that crimes against women are increasing by leaps and bounds but have we ever paid enough attention on the upbringing of our boys so that they don’t get involved in such heinous acts?

Well, a number of school-going boys are habitual of bullying and teasing their female classmates just because they are under the notion that being a boy, they are strong and superior to a girl. However, some girls have started raising voices and slowly, there is a rise in the number of such girls who are not ready to bear this hooliganism anymore.

Just recently, a disgraceful incident happened in which a school girl was getting harassed by her classmate, as he was trying to snap her bra. The girl told him not to do it but he wasn’t in the mood to stop, so she punched him in the face and that too, two times.
The school authorities called the girl’s mom and this was all about physical attack done by the girl rather than the sexual harassment which the girl suffered. But the tables turned upside down when mom of the girl gave the authorities a reality check.
Here is the full story:
“I’m an Emergency Room nurse and we’re not allowed to have our phones on us; they’re to be kept in our lockers. A call comes into hospital reception on a private line for me.

Phone: “This is [Teacher] from [School]. There’s been an incident involving [Daughter]. We need you to come in.”

Me: “Is she ill or injured? Can it wait until my shift is over in two hours?”

Phone: “[Daughter] has struck another student. We’ve been trying to call you for 45 minutes. It really is very serious.”

I go to the school and am ushered into the Principal’s office. I see my daughter, her advisor, a male teacher, the principal, a boy with blood around his nose and a red face, and his parents.

Principal: “Mrs. [My Name], how kind of you to FINALLY join us!”

Me: “Yeah, things get busy in the ER. I’ve spent the last hour administering over 40 stitches to a seven-year-old who was beaten by his mother with a metal ladle and then I had to deal with the police regarding the matter. Sorry for the inconvenience.”

(After watching him try to not act embarrassed, he tells me what has happened. The boy had snapped my daughter’s bra and she had punched him in the face… twice. I got the impression they were more angry with my daughter than the boy.)

Me: “Oh. And you want to know if I’m going to press charges against him for sexually assaulting my daughter and against the school for allowing him to do it?”

(They all get jittery when I mention sexual assault and start speaking at once.)

Teacher: “I don’t think it was that serious.”

Advisor: “Let’s not over-react.”

Principal: “I think you’re missing the point.”

(The boy’s mother then starts crying. I turn to my daughter to find out what happened.)

Daughter: “He kept snapping my bra. I asked him to stop but he didn’t, so I told Mr. [Teacher]. He told me to ‘ignore it.’ [Boy] did it again and undid my bra so I hit him. Then he stopped.”

(I turn to the teacher.)

Me: “You let him do this? Why didn’t you stop him? Come over here and let me touch the front of your trousers.”

Teacher: “What?! No!”

Me: “Does that seem inappropriate to you? Why don’t you go and pull on Mrs. [Advisor]’s bra right now. See how fun it is for her. Or on that boy’s mother’s bra. Or mine. You think just because they’re kids it’s fun?”

Principal: “Mrs. [My Name]. With all due respect, [Daughter] still beat another child.”

Me: “No. She defended herself against a sexual attack from another pupil. Look at them; he’s nearly 6 feet and 160 pounds. She’s 5 feet and 84 pounds. He’s a foot taller than her and twice as heavy. How many times should she have let him touch her? If the person who was supposed to help and protect her in a classroom couldn’t be bothered, what should she have done? He pulled her bra so hard it came undone.”

(The boy’s mom is still crying and his dad looks both angry and embarrassed. The teacher won’t make eye contact with me. I look at the principal.)

Me: “I’m taking her home. I think the boy has learned his lesson. And I hope nothing like this ever happens again, not only to [Daughter] but to any other girl at this school. You wouldn’t let him do it to a member of staff so what makes you think he can do it to a girl of 15 is beyond me. I will be reporting this to the school administrators. And if you—” *turning to the boy* “—EVER touch my daughter again I WILL have you arrested for sexual assault. Do you understand me?”

I was so angry, I gathered my daughter’s things and left. I reported it to the School Board, several of whom I know, and was assured it would be strongly dealt with.

My daughter was put into a different class for that subject, away from the teacher and the boy.”
Our complete support is with the girl and her mom as sexual harassment needs to end now. What do you say? Share your views with regard to the article in the comments section below.

He Took A 5 Minute Break For Paani Puri & It Cost Him Rs 5 Lakhs! Read To Know How & Why!

I am sure you all crave for paani-puri and never say a “NO” to it, isn’t it? But what if one plate of paani-puri costs you lakhs of rupees? Won’t you start hating it? You might be wondering how 1 plate of chaat will cost lakhs; for that you need to read the details.

CA Mukesh Chaudhari (40), a resident of Navrangpura, is regretting his decision of eating paani-puri, because he lost Rs 5 lakhs due to it. He just went to a chaat stall for 5-10 minutes and when he came back, he found his cash stolen. On Sunday, Mukesh reported a theft of Rs 5 lakhs at Navrangpura police station; shocking but true.

Read the whole incident!

Well, Mukesh, who resides at Swastik society, practices Chartered Accountancy near Gujarat College and on 1st of March, he went to his friend Narayan Prajapati’s office near CG Road, to collect Rs 3 lakhs (Cash).
Mukesh already had Rs 2 lakhs with him; so, the total amount that he lost was Rs 5 lakhs. On his way back, he stopped near Mithakhali Crossroads to have paani-puri. He kept the cash (In Rs 2000 notes) in a cover and put it in his scooter’s glove box. His biggest mistake was that instead of carrying the scooter key, he left it in the ignition.
When Mukesh came back after 10 minutes, he was shocked to see the key in the glovebox lock. He was even more horrified when he saw that his cash was missing.
The case is being investigated and officials feel that there is a gang behind this theft; an investigator said,
“It is possible that somebody may have followed Chaudhari for a distance and may have information that he was carrying cash. It was however a coincidence that he forgot the keys in the scooter, otherwise the lock would have been picked. We are looking for CCTV footage to find the perpetrators.”
Currently, the CCTV footages are being traced. It was careless on Mukesh’s part too; he shouldn’t have left the scooter key in the ignition. There were chances that even if he would have taken the keys along, the robber would have broken the lock.
His careless attitude has cost him a lot and next time, he will think twice before acting. Have you seen any incidents like these? Do share your views in our comments section below.
